Workplace by Facebook, formally known as Facebook at Work, the enterprise communication network of the Social Media company built specifically for businesses is finally ready for any organization that wants to use it. With the service, you can use News Feed to stay updated, join groups to collaborate, send messages, and get notifications about what’s most relevant to you. This means you can chat with a colleague across the world in real-time, host a virtual brainstorm in a Group, or follow along with your CEO’s presentation on Facebook Live.
Multi-Company Groups, shared spaces allows employees from different organizations to work together, to extend collaboration beyond your company in a safe and secure way. These will be rolling out to all customers in the coming weeks.
They also said they have been using an internal version of the app to help run their company for many years. That since Facebook keeps you connected to friends and family, it can do the same with coworkers.
The platform is currently used by more than 1,000 organizations around the world. People have created nearly 100,000 groups and the top five countries using Workplace are India, the US, Norway, UK and France.

The platform will not display ads, Since teams and users pay for the service, Facebook will not deliver ads in any part of the Workplace product, and it's free to use for non-profits and educational institutions.
